Sorority Life

Sorority Life is one of the first applications on Facebook that I got hooked on.  The basic concept is to create an avatar, have her complete events for money and glam, and get caught in the occasional fight.  What makes this game so much fun is the ability to chat with members in your sorority house while your playing the game.  So now let me break it down for you.

First add the app to your Facebook account and then start setting up your character.  When your first start out, you are provided with a limited amount of options for your hair and clothes.

Second you need to build your house by adding friends.  If you do not have friends who play, that is okay.  Sorority Life has an official blog where you can go to find others to join your house.

From there it is fairly simple.
Under the Socialize Tab, you complete events for money and a chance to win some cool glam.  The higher you level up the more events are available.
Under the Fight Tab, you can fight rival houses for money and influence points (they help you level up).
Under the Glam Tab, you will find basically your store.  This is where you go to buy new glam, boyfriends, hair, and accessories.  It is also where you will find keepsakes that you have found in the game.
Under the Myself Tab, you are able to view your profile, skills, and job.  You are also able to change what your character is wearing from this tab.
Under the My House Tab, you are able to view all the people that your sorority consist of.  You are also able to send them gifts under this tab.

As with any game, there are pros and cons.  The main pro for me is the able to chat inside the game with others in your house.  I feel that it makes the game more interactive.  For an example, if I needed a gift I could type in my request in the chat box and it would be sent out to my house.  Within a minute, someone will send you the gift.  Otherwise, you would have to post your request on your Facebook profile and hope someone who is in your Sorority Life house see it.  You could have to wait hours to receive the gift.  The creators do a good job trying to add more creative events in the game to play.

The con would also be the chat box.  Even though most of the people who play the application are adults, there is a lot of drama create by people cyber bullying using the chat box.

If you have any questions, please feel free to comment or email me.
